| Dr.
V.R.Manjunath, Principal of Sapthagiri College of Engineering, obtained
his Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering in the year 1983 from Malnad
College of Engineering, Hassan. The same year, he joined as a Lecturer
in the Department of Civil Engineering at A.I.T., Chikmagalur. Subsequently,
he obtained his M.Tech and Ph.D degrees in Geotechnical Engineering
from IIT Bombay, in the year 1990 and 1995 respectively. His professional
experience includes 3 years of post-doctoral assignments as Research
Associate and Visiting Scholar at the University of Hong Kong from
1996 to 1999. He
has 24 years of academic experience as a faculty, Researcher and
Consulting Engineer. He has served the Department of Civil Engineering
at A.I.T., Chikmagalur for 19 years (from 1983-2002) as faculty
member in various capacity.
In June
2002, he became the founder Principal of Toc H Institute of Science
& Technology, at Ernakulam Dist. of Kerala state, where he
served for 2 years. Subsequently, he worked as Principal of The
Oxford College of Engineering, Bangalore for 3 years, (from 2004
to 2007) before assuming charge as Principal of SCE on 28th March'2007. |
